Thought for the Day

Sunday, October 14, 2007
Look west at sunset and you’ll see the waxing crescent moon gliding through beneath sparkling Jupiter. In between them both is the reddish glow of the star, Antares, the heart of the Scorpion.

Mercury shifted gear, last week, and moved into reverse with the usual jolt as always. Letters go missing, emails get misplaced, friends are missing in action, computer programs behave rather strangely and, well, the list goes on. It’s remarkable to watch and anticipate what will come up.

Make the most of this 3-week Mercury retrograde period. If you have some ideas you want to get on the table, if you want to find another job or if you’re looking for a shift in direction, this is the ideal time to get the process going. Don’t sit back and wait for Mercury’s backward motion to end. Jump in now and get the process moving.

The young crescent moon is breathing in and giving shape and form to all that’s now being created. The first quarter phase comes on Friday. This week will bring plenty of unexpected surprises in your life and in the world.

If today is your birthday
It may seem, as you contemplate the road from here to your next birthday, as if it is strewn with difficulties and restrictions caused by financial limitations and emotional obligations. You will be surprised as positive events rally to overturn the worst of your problems.

If today is your birthday
Jupiter heralds a refreshing change. That’s welcome news when you consider how grim things have been for you on occasion. You will find the ability to stretch out beyond your potential. Wonderful possibilities await you.

Happy birthday to:
Ralph Lauren, 68.
Roger Moore, 80.
Sir Cliff Richard, 67.
Usher, 29.

We are all born with a distinct purpose and an exciting destiny waiting to be fulfilled, but the deafening din of this mad world makes it virtually impossible to correctly get our bearings.
