A free flowing alignment between the sun (energy) and Mars (power) is taking place today. It’s a day for getting something constructive done especially now that we’ve gained an extra hour of sleep and rest last night.

This is the first full week after the end of the Mercury retrograde. It ran from October 12th to November 1st. Understanding what Mercury’s backward cycle brings once-every-4-months requires us to observe events and issues that come up in our own personal world and the global picture – the microcosm and macrocosm. By meticulously observing them both we can find patterns and trends in this chaotic life on planet Earth.

These 3-week Mercury retrograde periods are essentially very positive times when corrections to the status quo can be made. Don’t listen to the naysayer’s cries of doom. If you’ve been having a horrible time, it means that you must consider a serious revamp of your plans and where you’re going with them. Make the necessary changes and your life will slowly start to show signs of improvement.

Take for example the current NASA’s shuttle mission to the International Space Station. It was described as a construction trip and unexpectedly involved a tricky repair to a torn solar panel. This is the kind of activity we expect during Mercury’s backward cycle. And it seems that NASA frequently executes highly important operations fraught with tension during these periods. But don’t take my word for it. Please investigate it yourself.

Another new start comes with the New Moon on Friday. That will be the first day of the next 29.5 day lunar month. Venus moves into Libra, the scales of justice, on Thursday, which is also the daylong dark of the moon phase preceding the New Moon. Courtrooms and judgments will start getting in the news. There may be some form of just retribution making the news this week too.

With Mercury slowing gaining speed in forward motion, get ready to make your big push forward starting Friday. Much of the confusion of recent weeks will start to clear as this week progresses. After 3 weeks of delays and impediments, you are now free to advance towards the realization of your dreams.
