Thought for the Day

Wednesday, July 28, 2010

Mars leaves Virgo (nature) and enters Libra (justice and judgements) tomorrow at 7:46pm ET. Its journey through Virgo which represents ecology, the ecosystem and the biosphere began in early June. This period of time has highlighted the environmental damage caused the by the BP oil spill in the Gulf.

It doesn’t stop there, though. Concern over climate change is rife with severe weather bringing tornadoes and heavy rains causing flooding in the US and Saskatchewan, just to mention two places. Many more examples exist.

China’s ongoing floods are the worst since 1998 killing nearly 1,000 people to date and displacing nearly 10 million others. The Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze is receiving its great test since the initial stage of its completion in 2006.

The forceful power of Mars has in the past six weeks thrust the global ecological crisis into our awareness. Its entry today into Libra where it will join Saturn (scrutiny) will bring a shift towards judgement, appraisal and conclusions.

The time has come to assess the impact of the Gulf Oil spill. A way of life for residents has been destroyed. And one of the most fertile natural sites in the world has bee decimated. Efforts will be made to hold BP accountable both financially and morally. Mars in Libra will wish to enforce the letter of the law. Let’s see how BP wriggles their way out of this. How many politicians, scientists and lawyers have they bought with their vast wealth? We’ll probably never know.

As well as giving Live Personal Readings in downtown Toronto, I am now also meeting clients in a superb venue in historic Georgetown (northwest of Toronto) every Monday. Please let me know if you are interested in booking a session in Toronto or Georgetown and I’ll email you with an explanation on how to go about it.

If today is your birthday
You’re acting as though your future is already written in stone, when nothing could be further from the truth. You now have a rare chance to rewrite yours. It’s an opportunity to distance yourself from certain elements in your life you’d like to leave behind. As you move into newer and greener pastures, the pain of the past will become a distant memory.

Happy birthday to:
Sally Struthers, 62.

Born today:
Terry Fox (1958-1981)
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (1929-1994)
Rick Wright (1945-2008) Keyboardist of Pink Floyd
Beatrix Potter (186-1943)

We are all born with a distinct purpose and an exciting destiny waiting to be fulfilled, but the deafening din of this mad world makes it virtually impossible to correctly get our bearings.

If you need an objective view of a burning issue or require advice in making a major decision, the ancient wisdom of astrology can provide guidance.
