THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
The Leo Sun is Warming your Soul
Welcome to Day 2 of this new lunar month which began yesterday in the wilful sign of Leo. The fire signs of Aries, Leo and Sagittarius are all about action and willpower. Hurry up, do it now, no time for dithering – is their modus operandi. Where there’s a will, there is a way!

Take note of what’s going on in your life now. Any conversations, encounters, ideas, issues and events that come up now are seeds being planted. Some will take. Some won’t.

The First Quarter Moon next Sat Aug 6, when the Moon is a right-sided semi-circle, is when these seeds begin sprouting into life. The Full Moon, a further week on, Sat Aug 13, will bring the fully grown crop. It will be the crescendo of what is brewing now.

Leo is all about self-expression. It’s ruler, the Sun, is putting your needs in the spotlight. Is there something you’ve always wanted to do, but have never taken action on it? The Mercury retrograde phase (Tues Aug 2/3 to Aug 26) has already begun to draw your attention to this.

You may have hidden, unknown talents and desires languishing in disuse at the bottom of a dusty cupboard. Talents and desires need to be recognized. They don’t like being ignored. Let this state of affairs go on too long and it will attract trouble.

So, pay close attention to any restless thoughts of dissatisfaction. If there’s something you’ve always wanted to do, or you’re in a relationship that is not fulfilling your needs – you are likely to be feeling a rising impatience about it. You’re not some loose bolt knocking around in a machine. You are a unique person born with an indelible mission and purpose in this incarnation.

Time is short. We don’t live forever. It doesn’t really matter what age you are – young or old. It’s doesn’t matter if you’re 20-years-old with your whole life ahead of you or if you’re down to the last few days or even hours of your life. You need to connect with the hidden creative source that lies within your soul. That’s what Leo is all about. It’s the vessel the Sun uses to speak to you.

Ask the Sun, the source of warmth, nourishment and creativity, what you need to do about it and how you can express your true essence. The answer when it comes, and it will come quickly, will bring infinite happiness, a sense of purpose and a connection to the compassionate source of all life that lies at the center of your being.
