Listen to the Sounds Around You
The First Quarter Moon is here. We’re at first base on the baseball diamond. Second base is the Full Moon. Third Base is the Last Quarter and back to home base is the next New Moon. This is the first quarter of the 29.5-day lunar month.
Getting in synch with the lunar phases is essential to feeling connected with life. Getting in touch doesn’t require thinking about it. Your right-brain will guide you through the intuitive process and open the channels for your unconscious to unfold.
It’s a good practice to shut down the internal dialogue. We all have a radio blaring away uncontrollably in our head. Can you shut it off? It’s not easy when you first try, but with practice it can be done. Try just listening to the sounds around you without talking to yourself.
The universe is always communicating to us. We’re never alone. Debussy advised to listen to the wind for it tells us the history of the world as it passes. He understood how we can connect with nature.
As the old world comes to an end with this the last year of the Mayan Long Count Calendar, we can expect to reconnect with nature, the animal world and our instinct.
