Thought for the Week
Saturday, August 28, 2010
The Virgo influence at this time is taking a prominent place in the general astrological picture. Tuesday’s Full Moon took place with both the Sun and Mercury in Virgo.
When Mercury is in the once-in-four-month retrograde cycle as it is now, the focus is placed on that area of the sky. All of us here on planet Earth become immersed in those issues in our own personal lives and on a global scale. To understand how the Mercury retrograde cycle affects you as an individual, we need to look where it is currently place in your own personal birth chart
Virgo rules nature, animals, forests, lakes, rivers and the oceans of the world. It’s all about the ecosystem and how everything functions and works together. The production of life-sustaining food like wheat and rice falls in this category. Information on health and nutrition is here too.
Virgo, though, not only governs the nature’s natural order, but it also rules the infrastructure created by human civilization. It rules all networks like roads, railways, canals, expressways, electricity grid, Internet etc. In an ideal world, Man’s world should run in harmony with nature. Sadly, though, we are clearly out-of-sync. Man’s industrialized universe has become a lethal threat to life on Earth.
The crisis certainly appears to be worsening now that food prices and supplies have been affected by the wildfires in Russia and the catastrophic flooding taking place in China and Pakistan. The destruction of crops has lead to a rise in wheat and rice prices.
It’s easy to slip into a mood of doom and gloom in light of all the troublesome news we are hearing on daily basis. But now is the time more than ever to keep a positive outlook and not allow all the pressure to plunge us into despair. No matter how difficult the current astrological alignments are, they can and will work in your favour if you approach your life with confidence, optimism and focussed determination. Have a read through yesterday’s Thought for the Day to get an idea of how attract the lucky serendipitous powers of Jupiter.
This week we move from the Full Moon of last Tuesday to the Last Quarter Moon on Wednesday. The high tide of the Full Moon is settling down. Important develops that took place over the period of the Full Moon may have seemed rather chaotic. But now as the dynamic level draws back a few notches, you’ll make come to some very profound insights and conclusions.
We are all born with a distinct purpose and an exciting destiny waiting to be fulfilled, but the deafening din of this mad world makes it virtually impossible to correctly get our bearings.
If you need an objective view of a burning issue or require advice in making a major decision, the ancient wisdom of astrology can provide guidance.
